The Plus Group is hiring Medical Assistant for a healthcare client in their Allergy and Immunology Clinic.This is an immediate need on a temp-to-hire basis. Responsibilities:
Assist the provider with patient exams, procedures, and immunology-related treatments.
Prepare and sanitize exam rooms and medical instruments.
Obtain and record patient vitals, medical history, and symptoms.
Perform venipuncture, administer injections, and collect lab specimens.
Process lab orders and follow up on test results.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and aftercare instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical protocols.
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
1-2 years of clinical experience (immunology, allergy, or infectious disease experience a plus).
Proficiency in EMR systems and medical documentation.
Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
BLS/CPR certification required.
Schedule:
Monday: 9 am to 6 pm (Danville) Tuesday: 9 am to 5 pm (Castro Valley) Wednesday: 9 am to 5 pm (Danville) Thursday: 9 am to 6 pm (Castro Valley) Friday: 9 am to 2 pm (Danville) 1-hour lunch Monday-Thursday. No lunch on Friday.
Salary: $23-$25\hour plus medical benefits after 60 days and accrued Paid Sick Leave after 90 days
