The Plus Group, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team and support students in an educational setting. This position is based at our client’s school site in West Sacramento and works under the supervision of the school nurse, providing essential medical care and support to students with health needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care to students with medical conditions, including responding to seizures and other health-related incidents.
Document health events, interventions, and care provided according to school and medical protocols.
Administer prescribed medications under the direction of the school nurse.
Assist with specialized feeding and positioning techniques as prescribed.
Accompany special education students on school bus routes (before and after school) when needed to ensure medical safety.
Maintain accurate and confidential health records for assigned students.
Perform related duties as assigned to support student health and safety.
Qualifications
Education & License: Current California Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) license required.
Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare or educational setting with increasing responsibilities preferred.
Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
